Chapbooks that sing.

Silver Locust Press produces beautiful chapbooks in collectible series.

We present poetry and flash fiction wrapped in oustanding art, with an emphasis on typography, design and delight. A single artist creates the cover images for each series.

Our founding editors are Patrick Chapman and Padhraig Nolan.

Patrick is a poet with ten collections to his name, seven of them from Salmon Poetry. He co-founded, edited and art-directed the online poetry magazine The Pickled Body (2014–2019).

Padhraig is an artist and poet who created the look of our press and curates our design. He has had several solo shows of his paintings, including Array at the United Arts Club, Dublin, in 2024, for which he published an accompanying chapbook of his poetry.

The name Silver Locust Press is a nod to the late, great Ray Bradbury, whose works we find inspirational. The Silver Locusts was the original title of Bradbury’s masterpiece, The Martian Chronicles.
